Senior faculty staff from Shenzhen Polytechnic in the Guangdong Province of China visited City of Oxford College, part of Activate Learning, to take part in a teacher training programme. Shenzhen Polytechnic is widely recognised as one of the leading vocational institutions in China.
The programme was led by staff from the Applied Learning Foundation team, working in partnership with the International team. It provided Shenzhen Polytechnic staff with an invaluable insight into the Activate Learning Philosophy and our approach to project-based learning, helping boost student engagement and employability.
Paul Wilson, Head of Sino-GB Relations, said: 'The delegates really appreciated the depth of our programme, as well as the opportunity to share best practice with many Activate Learning colleagues during their visit. They were also really impressed with the Christmas lunch they enjoyed at the Waterside Restaurant.
'We hope that this successful programme will open further opportunities to work with Shenzhen Polytechnic and other institutions, in China and beyond.'
