City of Oxford College first BSc Sports coaching, fitness and rehabilitation cohort celebrates a day of Firsts!

The first cohort of The City of Oxford College BSc sports students have celebrated completing their degrees at this year’s Oxford Brookes Faculty of Health & Life Sciences graduation ceremony. The BSc sports coaching, fitness and rehabilitation graduates students achieved success through the BSc top-up programme, accredited by Oxford Brookes University, at Activate Learning’s City of Oxford College. Many of the Activate Learning graduates had progressed from level 2 and 3 programmes, working all the way up to Level 6 which is degree level. The students graduated with an excellent array of high grades, with two attaining a first class honours degree. The graduation saw students and their families celebrating their success with the sports faculty teaching staff, and giving wonderful feedback on the students’ experience with Activate Learning. Stuart Leonard, HE Sports Programme Lead at The City of Oxford College, commented; ‘The day was a real pleasure. We are so proud of our first cohort of BSc sports graduates as part of our excellent higher education collaboration with Oxford Brookes. The students demonstrated real focus and determination during their studies. There are some fantastic applied practitioners in the group, who I’m sure will go on to great things in sport”
